A loan helped to add stock to the business.

Joyce's story

"I am proud to be part of a community of friends who continually inspire one another.” that is what Joyce, a mother of 4 children, says about the community where she lives now. As a refugee mother whose children are all school going, she has to work extremely hard. She grows millet, cassava, maize and beans.

Besides farming, she also has a small stall in the community were she sells variety of food stuffs and she has very many customers. Much as she has very many customers, her stock is very little and she is not able to sell as much as she would like due to the stock. She would like to add more stock so that she is able to boost her sales, pay school fees and her dream is to build a permanent house one day.

She is very glad for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva has given her to be a good person.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees in Uganda rebuild and sustain their livelihoods.
