Joyce's story

"I am proud to be part of a community of friends who continually inspire one another.” That is what Joyce, a mother of four children, says about the community where she lives now.

Joyce is a refugee mother to four children who all are school going, and she has to work extremely hard. She grows millet, cassava, maize and beans. She also has a small stall in the community where she sells a variety of food stuffs, and she has very many customers.

Much as she has very many customers, her stock is very little, and she is not able to sell as much as she would like due to the stock. She would like to add more stock so that she is able to boost her sales, pay school fees and her dream is to build a permanent house one day.

She now understands her business very well and she is able to know what to stock and what not to stock so that she is able to sell very fast.

She is very glad for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva have given her to be a good person.
