Donna's story

I am a woman entrepreneur who learned the value of hard work at an early age and this holds true today, because I come from a long line of family business owners.

My chocolate journey began in the food industry where I owned and operated a successful restaurant for many years. Yet, it was my childhood love of chocolate that led me down a more creative and specialized path. I started experimenting with couverture chocolate and created truffles and bonbons as a dessert option in my restaurant. The response was overwhelming. However, I realized I lacked the technical knowledge and proper techniques required to work with couverture chocolate. So, over the last 10 years, I've committed myself to learning from Professional Chefs and Chocolatiers, by taking formal classes to master the science and techniques necessary to create shelf-stable, beautiful and delicious chocolate creations. The process was complex and time intensive, but I was up for the challenge. I was ecstatic when people expressed how much they enjoyed my hand-made chocolates.

In 2023 I found a retail space to rent locally, in the Village of Coloma, Wisconsin. I officially launched my chocolate business, allowing me to share my passion with the local community while offering unique confections.

My goal is to increase production, offer my products to online shoppers and inspire others to be creative by offering chocolate making classes locally and to surrounding communities.
